Same-Sex Marriage Gains Support

The 10th Anniversary of Freedom to Marry Day will be held in New York City on February 12, 2007. At the event, attendees will celebrate the birthday of Evan Wolfson, the civil rights leader who founded Freedom to Marry, an organization that works to obtain marriage equality.

After the 2006 mid-term elections, Freedom to Marry issued a statement indicating that the public’s attitude toward same-sex marriage was changing in a positive way.
